Masindi District Local Government has ordered the demolition of the newly constructed outpatient ward and staff quarters at Kirasa Health Center over shoddy work.
Freddie Ngobi, Masindi district Chief Administrative Officer says that they contracted Asiimwe J construction Company to build the out patient department and Staff quarter.
He says that during their monitoring exercise they discovered that contractor had done shoddy work.
Ngobi says that the contractor didn't follow the specification of the contract, used poor mixtures and unqualified builders.

Ngobi says that they will withhold shillings 120 million for the construction until the contractor has repeated the work.
Wilfred Byakaga, Masindi District LC V vice chairperson says that they have requested the contract Joseph Asimwe to record a statement of breach of contract at Police.

But Asimwe blames the shoddy work on the building plan provided to him by the district.
He claims that the building plan is too faint making it difficult for his men to interpret.
