A farmer in Kicucu Village, Kyenjojo district has been sentenced to 23-years in Jail after admitting the murder of a village mate.
Gladys Kansiime, was sentenced at the High Court in Fort-Portal for killing Mugisa Tadeo, in December 2005.
Justice Dan Akiiki Kiiza, the high court Judge told her that she must serve 23 years in Katojo Government prison in Fort-portal before she can get parole.
Court heard that Kansiime and Richard Mwesige, a worker at a tea factory, raided Mugisa' s home armed with cutlasses and clubs. Mugisa was beaten into coma and the duo then robbed him of his money and property and fled.
Prosecution told court that Mugisa died later as he was being rushed to the hospital.
