Police Hunts for Missing Adjumani CAO

News
Police in Adjumani have started searching for Abdul Isodo, the Chief Administrative Officer.

Unknown gunmen reportedly kidnapped Isodo from his home on Tuesday evening.

The disappearance of Isodo was reported to Adjumani police by Mark Dulu, the district LC V chairperson.

Dulu claims that Isodo was picked by unknown gunmen from his home on Tuesday and has not been seen in public.

He says that Isodo's whereabouts are unknown to members of his family or junior workers at the district.

Fredrick Segirinya, Adjumani District Police Commander says that police has searched in vain for Isodo in every part of the district.

He says that police have failed to get any clues on which direction the kidnappers took Isodo.

He says that police is working with other security agencies in the district to find Isodo and his kidnappers.

But Baker Dudu, the Adjumani Resident District Commissioner dismisses claims that Isodo was kidnapped by gunmen.

Dudu claims, the CAO sneaked from the district at about 5:00am in his official car and he was spotted by traffic Police at Surumu Bridge in Adjumani town.

He says that Isodo defied orders by the traffic police to stop. According to Dudu, the CAO and other district officials are under investigations for mismanaging funds under the NAADS and Peace Recovery and Development Plan.

In a recent visit to Adjumani over PRDP, the Commissioner for Peace Recovery Development Plan, Elizabeth Alimadi accused the LC 5 chairperson and CAO of stealing public funds.
