Police in Kampala have recovered the head of the headless body that was discovered early this week in Kibiri zone A in Busabala in Makindye – Sabagabo in Makindye division.
The body was discovered on Friday in a pit latrine at the home of the Electoral Commission chairman Eng. Badru Kiggundu.
The head has been identified as that of Pascal Kafishe, who served as a Shamba boy at Eng. Badru Kigundu's farm located in Kibiri A.
Police called the police fire brigade and removed the stinking head from the pit latrine.
Speaking to Uganda Radio Network, the Officer in charge Criminal Investigations at Katwe who has been part of a weeklong investigation said they found the head after being tipped by intelligence sources.
Uganda Radio Network could not reach Eng. Badru Kigundu for a comment. He is reportedly out of the country.on a private trip
Seven people are being held at Katwe police station in connection with the murder. Many of the suspects are witch Doctors who include Mukidadi Kigongo, Jingo Kabuye, Henry Sebugenyi, Tadewo Musoke, Andrew Mulumba, Hamidu Ssazi and Denis Serunkuma.
In his recent visit to the area, the Inspector General of Police Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura ordered the closure of all shrines in Makindye – Sabagabo Zone.
According to Kayihura, activities of traditional doctors were halted because they bordered on criminality.
