Tororo Deputy NRM Registrar Wanted over Poll Results

Election
Joseph Kadokech, Tororo Deputy NRM registrar is in trouble for withholding results of the party primaries in the district.

Tororo deputy RDC Richard Gulume has ordered for the arrest of Kadokech for hiding the results of the NRM primary elections.

Gulume issued the directive today following complaints from several candidates that they had failed to access the polls results.

It is alleged that after conducting the NRM primaries on Monday all the results were submitted to the district party offices along Mbale-Tororo highway.

However, since then Kadokech is alleged to have locked the office and denied the candidates access to the results.

His whereabouts are unknown forcing Gulume to order police for his arrest.

Gulume says it is illegal for Kadokech to lock up a public office to deny other people to conduct business

He says that his office has already communicated to the party secretariat to address the anomaly.

Some of the areas whose results have being locked by Kadokech include Tororo County.

Only results from four sub counties in Tororo County including Osukuru, Kwapa, Merikit, Mollo and Mukujju have so far been declared except mella.

As a result the three candidates who contested for election as Tororo county party flag bearers are each claiming victory.
The trio includes Mark Omitta, Richard Ojore and Chris Onguramong Opuru.

Mark Omitta and Richard Ojore argue that the delay to declare the results is intended to favor Chris Onguramong, who hails from Mella sub county, which is at the center of the confusion.
