Hillary Tindiwensi, Rukungiri NRM administrative secretary is in trouble for falsifying election results. Tindiwensi was shortly arrested on Wednesday and interrogated at Rukungiri Central Police Station before he was released on bail.
Trouble for Tindiwensi started when Winifred Masiko, Rukungiri District Woman MP accused him of falsifying the NRM primary election results in favor of her rival, Prisca Seezi Mbaguta.
Deo Kikomeko, Rukungiri District Criminal Investigations Officer says that they summoned Tindiwensi to record a statement before he was released on bond. Kikomeko says that Masiko presented to the police documents from her campaign agents that indicate that the final election results were falsified.
He says that Police has started investigating the allegation and if proven Kikomeko will be charged with uttering false documents. Recently, the NRM secretariat released the list of NRM flag bearers indicating Prisca Sezi Mbaguta as the NRM flag bearer for Rukungiri district woman seat.
