Kamwenge Woman Beats Step Son to Death

Police in Kamwenge have arrested a woman for alleged murder.

Glorious Kasande, of Kyabandara parish of kamwenge Sub County, was arrested on Sunday in connection with the death of Philemon Arinaitwe, her stepson.

Diana Alumu, the criminal investigations officer, Kamwenge Police station, says that initial reports indicate that the woman in her early 20's lost her temper and beat up her step son to death, accusing him of eating food that she had reserved for his husband.

Police have learnt that on realizing that on realizing that the boy was dead, the woman fled her home and went into hiding.

But Robert Twesigye, the woman's husband, brought the matter to the attention of the police.

Police launched a hunt and found the woman hiding in a bush. She was arrested and is now being detained at Kamwenge Police station, pending an investigation into the September 29th incident that has left several people in Kamwenge shocked.
