The control of that vast land resources of Tooro Kingdom and money are at the center of the wrangles affecting the Kingdom. Tooro Kingdom has changed three prime ministers within a space of five years.
William Nyakatura is the latest Tooro prime minister to be shown the exit. On Monday, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru sacked Nyakatura for yet unclear reasons.
Investigations by Uganda Radio Network indicate that several kingdom officials have been sacked or forced to resign because of defying orders from palace officials who want to control kingdom finances and land.
Steven Irumba, former Prime Minister who resigned in 2007 says that he could not continue serving as Prime Minister because of pressure from palace officials led by the Queen Mother Best Kemigisa.
Irumba says that Kemigisa often wanted to be in-charge of kingdom finances and yet she is prohibited because she has no role in the kingdom administration.
During Monday's meeting of the kingdom cabinet and clan heads and leaders accused Kemigisa together with Augustine Kayonga chairman of the kingdom land board, Charles Kamurasi head of the Babiito ruling clan and Francis Mugenyi for causing the sacking of Nyakatura.
Nyakatura says that he was sacked because he rejected the king's appointment of Kayonga and Mugenyi to manage the kingdom land and to be signatories to the kingdom's bank accounts.
He says that the king was wrong to appoint palace officials because he is not part of the kingdom administration. Nyakatura says that signatories to the kingdom's bank accounts should be the Prime Minster and the Kingdom's Finance Minster.
Nyakatura also accuses the palace officials for not respecting the kingdom's constitution.
Kayonga however says that he should not be used as a scapegoat for the failures of the prime minister.
Kayonga says that Nyakatura and his administration have failed to manage the finances and land of the kingdom and therefore should be answerable to the king.

When contacted, Kemigisa denied any involvement in the conflicts of the kingdom. Kemigisa says that she has no role to play in the kingdom now because King Oyo has turned 18 years old.
She says that the decision to sack the Prime Minister was made by the King and should be respected.
