Simon Peter Okello, a Senior Three student of Alliance High School in Gulu District has been arrested in possession of forged school identity cards and the head teacher's stamps.
Okello was arrested after the school administration reported to police the disappearance of some school property including report card booklets.
Augustine Obwong, the officer in charge of Ayee police post in Pece division says that Okello was selling the forged report cards to students at shillings 5, 000. He says Okello would award good scores to the interested students to dup parents that they are performing very well in school.
Obwong says they also found several forged bank slips in Okello's rented room in Aywe in Pece division. Joel Okello Lakony, the school deputy head teacher told police that Ocelot didn't report to school this term.
Police says that they are hunting for three of Okello's accomplices identified as Joel Rubangakene, Ayera and Kalum. The OC says charges of forgery; theft and uttering false documents will be preferred against him.
Two other students identified as Caesar Odida and Jamada Adams were also arrested for indiscipline and theft but were cautioned and released on police bond.
