Susan Nampijja Nominated for Makindye East Seat

Politics
Susan Nampijja, the incumbent Lubaga South MP has been nominated to contest the Makindye East seat. Nampijja shifted her focus to Makindye East, after Mike Mabikke the incumbent MP shifted attention to Kampala Mayoral seat.

It is also suspected that Nampijja shifted to Makindye East to pave way for her father Ken Lukyamuzi to reclaim the seat. In 2005, the Faith Mwondha, the then Inspector General of Government ordered for the dismissal of Lukyamuzi from parliament for breach of the leadership code.

Lukyamuzi challenged the decision in court which ruled in his favour, and ordered parliament to pay him. Speaking about her nomination Nampijja said that, she decided to shift to Makindye East to improve on service delivery. She pledged to start up a vocational institute for youths in Makindye East.

Nampijja said that the decision by Mike Mabikke, the incumbent Makindye East MP to contest for the Kampala Mayoral seat has offered her opportunity to improve the lively hood of people like she did in Rubaga South.
//Cue in: I think....Cue out...very good terms. // Farida Mayanja, the NRM candidate for Rubaga south says that its time to break the dominance of the Lukyamuzi family in the constituency. Mayanja who is also a journalist says the constituency needs to get back from the kingdom phenomenon. //Cue in: I want toCue out: forgets so easily.// it is not yet clear whether or not Lukyamuzi will appear for nomination tomorrow.
