Politics
The first lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni, has this morning been nominated the NRM candidate Ruhaama County, parliamentary seat.

Kataha is seeking to be re-elected into the seat for a second time.

Dressed in a yellow blouse and navy blue suit, a jovial Janet, highlighted improved water, Roads and health as her priorities if re-elected.

Typical of her style in addressing issues, Janet avoided any confrontaion with her rival Augustin eRuzindana who on Thuursday accused her of deploying policemen to intimidate the masses and muzzle power.

Ruzindana also criticized the first lady for failing to perform any substantial work for the people of Ruhama.

But the first lady said that the power to measure performance should be left to the people and not fellow politicians.
