Hoima taxi/bus Park is a scene of heavy police deployment as a row between Hoima Drivers Forum-HODRIFO and Serve Electronics Company limited over park management, continues.
Both organizations claim authority over the park management. A contingent of armed regular police personnel and those of the mobile police were this morning deployed every where in the park.
Augustine Kasangaki, the Hoima district police commander says his men's presence in the park is not accidental. Kasangaki who is supervising the deployment says he got a warning from Jackson Wabyona, the director serve electronics company on Thursday evening that he would forcefully takeover the management of the park today.
The district police commander says in anticipation of chaos, he had to deploy and vows to have Wabyona and his group arrested incase they dare come.
Cue in/-we heard a rumor

Hoima Drivers Forum is the current Manager of the park. However Wabyona claims the organization runs the tender on his behalf since they gave him powers Attorney. But Geoffrey Tibenda, the Hoima Drivers Forum spokesperson says powers of Attorney they had given to Wabyona in 2008 were revoked and that he has no say at the moment.
Wabyona's Serve Electronics Company won the park tender in 2008, with HODRIFO being contracted to supervise the revenue collection.
Wabyona couldnot comment on the allegations saying he was still held up in a meeting.
Last week Wabyona and his group stormed the park and hijacked revenue collection from Hoima Drivers Forum, a move that sparked off a bitter face off prompting police intervention. The matter was later sorted out at the RDC's office and Wabyona was temporarily ordered out of the park.
In a related scenario a police dog that was too deployed in the park has bitten a restaurant operator, Mary Tumusiime.
Tumusiime, 29 who operates Karungi restaurant in Hoima Taxi Park, was pounced on by the dog as she passed by it, while reporting for work. It bit her in the waist and is now on treatment at Hoima Administration clinic.
Tumusiime meanwhile blames the police for being inhumane saying they never cared for her after the incident neither did they take her for treatment.
Meanwhile Fred Busobozi, the director Karungi restaurant has vowed to sue the police incase they do not cater for his employee's medical expenses. Busobozi says he has so far incurred 140,000 shillings on treating the patient which he wants refunded by the police. He too blames the police for deploying the dog in the park saying it was not required at all.
