Revelers Under Siege as Bees Raid Dance hall in Arua

Revelers in Arua came under siege after a swarm of bees raided a dancehall.


Universal plaza disco hall, A local disco hall in Obongi sub county Arua District, came under siege on Monday stinging several revelers that had gathered there for an entertainment evening.

Sam Vule, the Proprietor of Universal plaza disco hall, does not rule out the possibility that some malicious people could have incited the bees.

He says that about 30 people were rushed to clinics and treated for stings.

Idraku Swaibu Sebbi, the Obongi Town east village chairperson, described the raid by bees as an unusual and surprising incident.

Sebbi says that his office is working with the police to trace investigate the circumstances under which the bees found their way into a dancehall.

Fred Ogwang, the Officer in charge of Obongi Police station says that the matter has been brought to his attention and investigations are already underway.
