Toddlers Killed in Gulu Accident

News
Two toddlers were killed in a roll over road accident in Agwe parish, in Gulu Municipality.

The dead include a six months old baby and a six-year-old boy.

The Sunday night accident occurred after a pick up truck driver heading to Kitgum broke the steering wheel rod and lost control of the vehicle.

Patrick Okoya Kagwa, the Gulu traffic officer, says that the vehicle skidded off the road and rolled over throwing its passengers overboard.

Forty-five passengers were injured in the accident and transferred to Gulu, Independent, and Lacor hospitals.

The truck driver however fled the scene of accident and has not been cited anywhere.
