President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned the construction of Nyagak hydro power plant in Nebbi District. The commissioning ceremony took place at the site of the dam located about 2 kilometers from Paidha town.

The 3-megawatt power plant will supply hydro electric power to the whole of West Nile.

The 32 billion dam project is jointly funded by Industrial Promotion Services, an affiliate of Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development
