Two In Kasese Arrested For Assaulting NRM supporter

Police is Kasese are holding two men for allegedly assaulting a man who they accused of supporting the ruling National Resistance Movement.



Monday Karim Rashid, The Officer in Charge of Electoral and Political affairs, has identified the suspects as Selverio Kisembo and Selly Bwambale.



The duo claiming to be supporters of FDC reportedly grabbed and beat up beat Bahati Balyaghe, a supporter of the NRM party.


Karim says the two-attacked Balyaghe just as he tried to ask for votes in favor Godfrey Kabyanga, in a bar in Katiri ward in Bulembya Division.


Kabyanga is the NRM flag bearer for the Kasese Municipality Mayoral seat for the March 2nd elections.


Karim said the duo would appear in court shortly to answers charges of electoral violence.
