Drivers in Hoima are celebrating President Yoweri Museveni's early lead in Hoima district.
Hundreds of drivers under the umbrella of Hoima Drivers Forum, today danced and chanted songs in praise of the NRM Party and president Yoweri Museveni.
Geoffrey Tibenda, the Hoima Drivers Forum publicist, says the drivers are happy with Museveni's leadership especially in empowering marginalized people like drivers.
Hoima Drivers Forum is the current Managers of the Park. Tibenda says had it not been for the NRM government's policy to empower drivers, they may not have secured the tender.
He says the drivers also celebrate public minister, Henry Muganwa, Kajura's victory for the Hoima municipality parliamentary seat.
Tibenda says Kajura has guided and nurtured the drivers association, to see it grow into a now strong association.
Although the electoral commission has not declared the final results, Tibenda says provisional results indicate Museveni and Kajura leading.
Cue in... "the drivers...."
Cue out... "have won massively.."
Wamara Kabarole, a driver says they will roast a bull during the celebration.
Erasmus Kimbowa, the Hoima district returning officer, has pledged to declare partial results later this evening.
He says he is still awaiting results from villages which had not arrived at the electoral commission district offices by this afternoon.
Meanwhile presidential partial results from five sub counties show Museveni with an average win of about 80 percent, followed by FDC's Kizza Besigye.
The results so far obtained are from Buhanika Sub County, Buhimba, Bujumbura Division, Kahoora Division and Kitoba Sub County.
