Lack of Transport Delays Hoima Poll Results

Election
The lack of transport has delayed the release of results in Hoima.

Erasmus Kimbowa, Hoima district registrar says that many of the sub county supervisors have not turned in the results because of lack of information.

By last evening results from 13 sub counties had not yet been received at the tally center.

He says that because of the failure to deliver the results has delayed the declaration of candidates because all results have to be tallied before being announced.

Despite this Kimbowa hopes to beat the 48 hours deadline in which results are expected to be declared.

Cue out "...have declared..."//

Last evening, Tophace Kaahwa, the NRM woman Parliamentary candidate turned up at the tally center but was told she was too early for the declaration of her results.

Kaahwa told journalists that she was overwhelmed by the many phone calls from her supporters inquiring about the results.

Only results for Hoima municipality have been declared.
