Police is holding Mwanga Gawera, the LC2 chairman of Kikuta village in Nakasongola for criminal negligence following the murder of five family members.

The family of Kimeze Steven was attacked in the wee hours of Tuesday morning by unknown people in Wangoma village and ablaze using petrol.

Kigozi says the motive behind the killings is not known since most of the residents in Wangoma village are living in fear and are failing to divulge information. However, investigations into the killings are underway to arrest the culprits.

According to police, Kimeze informed Mwanga about the threats on his family on several occassions but his pleas fell on deaf ears. Mwanga is to be charged with criminal negligence.
