28 year old man murders aunt over sending him away from her home in Buikwe district. Police has arrested the suspect.
Police in Buikwe have arrested a man accused of beating up her aunt to death.
The suspect is Anthony Mande, a resident of Bamunganya Sub County in Buikwe.
Mande was arrested this morning shortly after murdering his 58-year-old aunt Natalie Awoli. It is alleged that Mande hit Natalie with a hoe on her head and tried to escape from the murder scene.
Abu Zaake, a resident of Bamungaya says that Mande was recently sent away from Buikwe town because of his of his bad behavior forcing him to relocate to his aunt’s home.
According to Zaake, when Mande’s father heard information that he was residing at Natalies place he ordered the deceased to chase him away.
As a result, Mande hatched a plan to eliminate his aunt. After killing Natalie Mande was seen trying to escape from the home forcing residents to alert the authorities.
They rushed to the house only to find Natalie Awoli, lying dead on the floor with blood oozing from the head.
Just next to deceased was a hoe that Mande is believed to have used to hit Natalie to death.
Residents mounted a search for Mande who was found hiding in a nearby bush in Bamungaya Sub County.
Caroline Akoth, Buikwe district commander says investigations into the matter are on going.
