RRU Arrests Masaka Most Wanted Robbery Suspects

Rapid Response Unit Arrests three most Wanted Criminal suspects in Masaka
Three men who have been top on the list of most wanted criminal in Masaka, have been arrested.
 
They are Vincent Lusiba alias Viane, Jamada Ssegirinya both residents of Nyendo town and Gerald Mukwaya a resident of Namugongo Village in Mubende.
 
They were picked up yesterday in different operations mounted by operatives from the Rapid Response Unit. The suspects are wanted to answer various charges including rape, murder and armed robbery.
 
Job Mutegeki, the Southern Region RRU commandant says that suspects have been the masterminds of various crimes in Kalungu, Masaka and Bukomansimbi.

He explains that Vincent Lusiba was convicted of robbery and jailed for 8 years in Masaka central prison but a month after being released from prison he raided homes in  Kiweesa, Lukaaya, Bukulula among others.

 
He claims that during the attacks Lusiba tied up his victim before robbing them of their property using fire arms. Mutegeki says that Jamada Ssegirinya, one of the suspects has been on the run after committing various cases of rape, murder, and robberies along Nyendo and Bukomansimbi road.
 
He says that Gerald Mukwaya was picked up for illegal gun possession and terrorizing residents of Bukomansimbi. Mutegeki says that the trio who are at Masaka central police station will be charged with aggravated robbery, murder and possession of illegal guns respectively.
 
The trio refused to talk to the press.
