President Yoweri Museveni has blamed the corruption in the Uganda police force on the Forum for Democratic Change presidential candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye.
Addressing a campaign rally in Ibanda and Kiruhura districts, Museveni said that Besigye cannot rule Uganda because he failed to fight corruption in the police force.
Museveni said that Besigye had all the opportunities to eliminate corruption while he served as minister of internal affairs under the movement government. He said that, Besigye betrayed him and asked Ugandans not to vote for Besigye in the February presidential elections.
Museveni said that if re-elected he will tarmac the Lyantonde-Kiruhura-Ibanda road, improve water coverage and extend power to Ibanda and Kiruhura districts.
Museveni resumes his campaigns today, in Bushenyi district.
