St Kagwa High school Bushenyi has been closed for a second time in less than a month in the wake of another student strike.
The students turned rowdy on Friday protesting against the end of term examinations. They claimed that they were not ready and willing to sit for the exams.
Some students however said that the strike on Friday was sparked off by the administration’s failure to address the grievances that lit the fire for the first strike.
The students are demanding that the headmaster transfers some teachers, and elevate others to UNEB examiners. They are also protesting against the alleged misuse of school funds.
The District police commander, Bushenyi Joab Wabwire, said with the situation running out of hand, police and the administration was left with no option but to close the school again.
Wavamuno Tumusiime, the schools head teacher, could not be reached for a comment as he was reportedly locked up in a meeting.
