World Breast Feeding Week Kicks off Today

Breast feeding is increasingly becoming important especially for babies born in conflict and disaster ridden areas, says WHO

“Talk to me! Breastfeeding – A 3D Experience” has been identified as the theme for this years World Breast Feeding week, which begins today August 1st to 7th August.  

Dr. Maria del Carmen Casanovas,  of the World Health Organisation, told Journalists on Sunday that the theme on Communication, is significant because it highlights the importance of communication between different people on why breast feeding matters.
