They are Hanifa Lukwago, Jamira Nakanjako, Sifura Bisirikirwa, Hausa Nakalanzi, Mbabaali Shirat and Mausara Nakimera. The six were rushed to hospital last night in critical condition after eating poisoned food.

Hanifa Lukwago, one of the poison food victims explains that she bought rice for preparing their fast with her children. Lukwago explains that after serving the food her daughter Nakalanzi started complaining of abdominal pain before she started vomiting.  She says that she was forced to rush to the neighbours for help when all members of the family started complaining of abdominal pain and started vomiting.

The victims were rushed at Dr. Kanabi‘s Clinic in Lyantonde town council where they were admitted. Dr Kanabi says that Lukwago and her family ate food laced with poison. He however explains that the lives of the poison victims are out of danger adding that they will be discharged soon.
