Witch Doctor Arrested For Drugging, Raping Women

Police in Luwero have finally arrested a witch doctor who was allegedly involved in doping women with drugs, raping them and stealing their money.
Police in Luwero have finally arrested a witch doctor who was allegedly involved in doping women with drugs, raping them and stealing their money.

Ali Nsiko, a witch doctor operating along Seeta road in Luwero, Bugembe in Jinja and Masanafu in Kampala was arrested recently along the Northern By-pass after a four month hunt.

Nsiko has been on Luwero police’s wanted list after he reportedly conned Wasswa Mbatudde Margaret, a resident of Kawempe, of her 60 million shillings. The witchdoctor claimed he was cleansing the money and Mbatudde fell for his tricks after hearing a radio announcement, hoping Nsiko was an answer to her debts.

Nsiko advised Mbatudde to sell of a plot of land in Kawempe with a semi finished house and a Fuso truck and pay off the bank debt.  He however advised Mbatudde to first take the money for cleansing before paying the debt.

According to Mbatudde, when she took the money to Nsiko’s shrine, he gave her a drink lazed with an unknown drug and she became unconscious. Nsiko is said to have ferried Mbatudde and abandoned her at an unknown spot in Kawempe from where sympathizers helped her get to her home.

Central Region police spokesperson, Lameck Kigozi says Mbatudde remained in a coma for three months and when she regained her consciousness she reported a case to Luwero police station, where the hunt for Nsiko started.

Kigozi said Nsiko is being held at Luwero police station but urged people who have been victims of this witchdoctor to report to Luwero police station and file complaints against him.

Cue out: …careful.”//

Kigozi said police has already recorded a case of obtaining money by false pretence against Ali Nsiko and would have him taken to court. Kigozi confirmed that this was not the first time police was recording complaints against the suspect but had avoided arrest.

The Media Council has outlawed running adverts of traditional healers advertising their services but different radio stations continue to run the adverts.
