Janet Museveni Declared Winner of the Ruhama Parliamentary Seat

Election
The first lady Mrs. Janet Museveni has been declared winner for the Ruhama parliamentary seat in Ntungamo district.
The Ntungamo district returning officer Israel Bakuru Mpagi declared Janet the winner after polling 50,949 votes.
Janet's main challenger Augustine Ruzindana Polled 15,420 votes. The other candidates Amanda Magambo polled 2,117 votes, while Karegyeya trailed with 158 votes.
The declaration was greeted with cheers and ululations as hundreds of her supporters struggled to get a handshake.
Janet thanked her supporters for entrusting her with a challenge of developing Ruhama and promised not to disappoint them.
