20 Suspected Thugs Arrested in Bushenyi

Police in Bushenyi district have arrested more than 20 people for their alleged involvement in criminal activities.

The suspects were rounded up on Wednesday night during an impromptu police operation.

The Bushenyi district police commander, Joab Wabwire, said that the operation stemmed from public complaints about the rising crime wave in the district.

He said police have received several cases of people being waylaid and robbed of all their belongings.

He said that most of those arrested are former convicts who have been released from prison recently.
