Maj. Gen Kale Kaihura, the Inspector General of Police is accusing Activists for Change of training youths in terror tactics.

Kaihura claims that police have information that there are youth being trained in Afghanistan and have infiltrated the country.

He adds that there are other youths currently in Kenya who the A4C are in the process of smuggling into the country. Kaihura also alleges that some of the A4C senior leaders have been sent to outside capitals that when they start provocative and destructive activities, they can carry out propaganda aimed at tarnishing the image of Uganda.

He warns the public and the youth against being deceived by the A4C project that purports to champion their interests. He argues that it is a sinister project that must be shunned because if allowed to be implemented, it will undermine the current efforts to solve problems of the country and plunge the nation into chaos.

According to Kaihura, the A4C intend to begin a spate of disruptive activities particularly in Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Mbale, Masaka and Butambala.

Cue out: was the objective of walk to work.”//

He adds that these rallies are attempts to spread sectarian and erroneous propaganda to take advantage of disgruntled sections of society and hope to overthrow the government.

The A4C is also allegedly planning meetings in places such as Pope Paul Memorial Centre and Katonga road among others.

The police have also intercepted leaflets full of inciting messages that the A4C allegedly intends to print outside the country and distribute to Ugandans.

Humorously, the activists for change coordinator Mathias Mpuuga who does not confirm nor deny the allegations says Kaihura is broke, since his force only gets what to eat from their activities.

Mpuuga adds that with such less than intelligent allegations, Kaihura has become propaganda machinery for the government instead of being a policeman.

Mpuuga dares Kaihura to pre-empt his allegations since he believes he now has proof.

Kaihura also confessed that due to the process of justice, the police have failed to implicate the top leaders of A4C because they are smart and careful with their actions.
