Thugs Vandalize Catholic Church

News
A group of unidentified thugs broke into Kwapa Catholic Church in Tororo district and stole property worth millions of shillings.

Father Christopher Emuseet, the parish priest says the thugs stormed the church on Wednesday Night and using a master key, gained entry into the church. He says that they stole musical instruments, uniforms for the choir members, a priest’s chair, alter clothes and some other special items used during the mass.

Emuseet says the matter came into light on Thursday morning after some church members preparing for mass; found out that some items needed for service were missing.

Charles Okumu, one of the church members rushing for the church service, found one of the chairs abandoned in a nearby bush.

But the most astonishing part of it all was the realization that the church pews were dripping with urine suspected to be the work of the robbers.

The Christians in Tororo have condemned the robbery describing it as both shameful and blasphemous.
