Four held for Robbery

Kabale police is holding four people including two Uganda People’s Defense Soldiers-UPDF soldier in connection to a highway robbery.

They are UPDF soldiers Robert Kibisi and Simon Mwahusya; a UPDF soldier attached to Kisoro Hill Barracks, Godfrey Tibakunzire alias Kafero and Godfrey Tumwizere both boda boda motorists.
 
 
Ely Maate, South Western Uganda regional police spokesman says that the suspects are wanted for staging a robbery on November 22 along Kabale-Kisoro road. He says that the suspects waylaid a vehicle number UAM 648P belonging to Centenary bank and robbed shillings 20 million.
 
Matte says that police also recovered some items including for crates of soda, a brief case, television, and two mobile phones that are suspected to have been stolen.
