Police Arrest Five for Murder

Godfrey Emojongo, the Kiboga district CID department chief has identified the suspects as Tadeo Ssesazi, Tusabe Aaron and Philpo Ssebuma. Others are Katumba Athanus and Hussein Kato, all residents of Kininwa village Kibiga sub-county Kiboga district.
Police in Kiboga district are  holding five people for their alleged involvement in the murder of  a local businessman on Sunday.

Godfrey Emojongo, the Kiboga district CID department chief has identified the suspects as Tadeo Ssesazi, Tusabe Aaron and Philpo Ssebuma. Others are Katumba Athanus and Hussein Kato,  all residents of Kininwa village Kibiga sub-county Kiboga district.

The five are believed to be  part of an irate mob that allegedly attacked and beat Byakatonda Sylvester, a local businessman at Katwe trading center in Kibiga sub-county.
  

The mob led by Tadeo Ssesazi allegedly stormed Katwe trading center and beat Byakatonda into coma. They accused him of torching ahut that belonged to Tadeo.
 

Byakatonda was pronounced dead on arrival at Kiboga hospital on Sunday evening.

Emajongo says that prior information indicates that Byakatonda and Tadeo had had earlier been embroiled in a qaurrel over a girl.
