The Luweero town clerk is in trouble for allegedly embezzling six millions shillings through fake expenditures.
A special investigations committee instituted by the council to investigate the town clerk Muluuta Mugagga over corruption has found him guilty and has petitioned the Chief Administrative Officer Christopher Kyomya to sack him.
The head of the probe of committee and chairman LC 3 of Luweero town council Charles Ssebyala says that Muluuta has spent 18 months withdrawing funds as inspection fees which was not approved by council and was paying allowances to non existent driver resulting into loss of five million shillings.
He explains that Muluuta paid out more than one million shillings to activities that were non existent.

A councilor for Luweero central zone Zainab Kasirye explains that the same town clerk has been cited in offering illegal land leases and put the council in unending court battles.
During an extra council meeting on Thursday, the town clerk Muluuta Mugagga was put to task by council speaker Vincent Ssebayiga to defend himself over the funds but failed and described the accusations as malicious and based.
The councillors accused the town clerk of abuse office, incompetence and gross misconduct contrary to section 68(2) and Nine out of the fourteen councilors that make up the Town council passed a resolution asking the district chief Administrative Officer Christopher Kyomya to immediately sack him.
Shortly after the meeting Muluuta jumped into his car and drove off without allowing journalists to interview him over the resolution.
