Netherlands based striker Derrick Fabian Kizito is part of the Cranes team that departs on Tuesday for Khartoum, Sudan ahead of an International friendly against Egypt on Thursday.
The Cranes team will only have two professional players including Mike Mutyaba who features for Sudanese giants El-Merreikh. The team leaves aboard Ethiopian Airlines through Addis Ababa and arrive in the Sudan in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Coach Bobby Williamson told URN that this is a very important friendly for the local based players, who need to give a good account of themselves since they are playing against a good Egyptian team.
Although the coach could not disclose which team the Netherlands based striker Kizito features for, Mujib Kasule, FUFA Vice President in-charge of the League, said the player was playing in a third Division team but is club-less now. The Egyptians who are preparing for several International matches decided to have build-up games staged in Khartoum because of security concerns back home following stadium riots that resulted last month that led to the death of over 30 fans.
FUFA spokesman Rogers Mulindwa will lead the delegation while the players will include Hamza Muwonge, Yasin Mugabi, Denis Guma, Noah Semakula, Ismail Kazibwe, and Saka Mpima. Others on the team include Ceaser Sapeo, Luwagga Kizito, Ceaser Okhuti, Steven Bengo and Saddam Juma. Also traveling are Jimmy Kakembo, Robert Kimuli, Edward Ssali, Israel Emuge and Godfrey Walusimbi.
