The Uganda Wildlife Authority- UWA is to hire private investors to manage the conservation of wildlife reserves in Masindi, Nakasongola and Kiboga districts.
The Uganda Wildlife Authority, national Community Conservation Coordinator Charles Tumwesigye says the wildlife body doesn't have sufficient resources to manage the wild life reserves in the country.
He said that the authority has been forced to hand over the management of the reserves to private investors.

Cue Out: #really getting profits. //
Tumwesigye said that the investors would market the reserve on behalf of Uganda Government and the local communities.
The first reserve to be given out to private management was Kabwoye, in Hoima. Tumwesigye says that an agreement was signed between Lake Albert safaris as the investor and the board of Trustees of UWA on behalf of Uganda Government and the Hoima Local Government.
Tumwesigye says that Katonga wildlife reserve in Kamwenge District and East Madi reserve in Adjumani District have also been advertised.
