A group of Roman Catholic priests are claiming that Jesus Christ recently appeared at their retreat.
The priests led by Rev Father Paul Okoth, the assistant parish priest of St. Austin Parish in Mbale, claim that Jesus Christ appeared to them during a retreat which was held on 11th of February in Aboke parish, Lira district.
Okoth claims that they were celebrating the Eucharist when suddenly a bright light appeared at the altar. He claims that some people who were in the retreat took photographs of the bizarre incident which showed the body of Christ on the Eucharist.

The priest who has been showing parishioners back in Mbale photographs of the alleged incident explains that he contacted the retired Archbishop of Tororo James Odongo for explanation.
He says Archbishop Odongo told him it is a sign of divine mercy. According to the Catholic Church divine mercy is mass on prayer where Jesus manifests himself through the Eucharist.
Fr. Okoth says similar appearances of Christ have been reported in Ggaba near Kampala, Moyo Sacred Heart’s Convent and four other places in Uganda. But his claims could not be independently verified.
