A Heavy rainfall on Tuesday left a trail of destruction in Kabale. Several acres of crop land were submerged in water and animals swept away by the floods.
Worst affected are Bufundi Sub County and Muhanga town council. Patrice Nyabagufu a resident of Kagunga cell,Butaare ward ,Muhanga town council says her beans, Sweet potatoes and maize were completely washed away by the storm.
Edison Twimukye, a resident of Bufundi sub county says leaders should move swiftly to provide seedlings to enable farmers replant their gardens.
Rev Turyatunga Manase the Councillor for Bufundi Sub County says that the heavy have washed away all food crops such as Beans, sorghum and Irish potatoes leaving behind bare gardens.

Manase says that the rains have also blocked the Muko –Katuna road and paralyzed transport to Bufundi and Butanda Sub counties.Manase says farmers cannot transport the little produce they have to the market.

Ali Karama, the Kabale district secretary for works says the Uganda National roads authority has the responsibility to reopen the Muko –Katuna road.
