Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) men’s team and Ndejje University women’s team maintained their lead on the National Handball League standings after recordings wins on Saturday.
Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) men’s team and Ndejje University women’s team maintained their lead on the National Handball League standings after recordings wins on Saturday.
 
The army side saw off Police Kifaru 42-20 in one of the games played at the Kyambogo University ground with UPDF Moses Akena (10 goals), Chester Alworonga (8 goals) and Muhammed Muwanga and Carl Mugalu 6 each.
 
The win saw UPDF go five games without defeat, while Ndejje University’s women’s team also maintain the lead with three wins and no loss, while their second team Ndejje University Scorpions went down 30-16 to Prison Lady Spears.
  
In the other men’s games played, Nkumba University went down 25-39 to Ndejje University Scorpions, Ndejje University Scorpions beat Makerere Bulls 35-30 and Police Metro lost 31-33 to Prison Spears.
 
Ndejje University Scorpions, Prison Lady Spears, UPDF and Prison Spears took the day with wins in their respective encounters. Action in the National Handball League will continue on May 12 at the Makerere University main grounds.
