Volleyball players from over 40 secondary schools in the country will gather at London College of St Lawrence for the 4th Edition of National Juniors Volleyball Championship.
Uganda’s emerging stars will showcase their talent at the two-day event slated for June 2 and 3, 2012.
The tournament will feature is expected to be very competitive especially with the revamping of big teams such as Nabisunsa Girls and Namagunga.
Edgar Karungi, Chairman Uganda Volleyball Federation (Schools) has however warned that schools that field mercenaries shall be disqualified from the tournament.
Schools from Western Uganda have this year dominated the girls category of the competition with Maryhill winning the All Girls championship held in March at Gayaza High School and St Bridget Insingiro Girls taking bronze.
The Schools expected to take part include; Maryhill Mbarara, Ntare School, Kawempe Muslim, Kinawa Mugogo, Kinawa Kawempe, Gombe S S, Trinity College, and St. Joseph’s Nsambya. The others are Namagunga, Rushange Girls, St. Marys Kitende, Seroma SS, Katikamu SDA, St. Mary’s Kisubi, Kisubi High, Mapere SS, Kisubi Seminary and Summaya Girls among others.
