LC 3 Chairman held for Conning Resident

News
He is accused of conning 250, 000 shillings from Alamanzani Tagayala to help him process a driving permit in vain.
Joshua Kyaliita, the LC III chairman of Busakira Sub County in Mayuge is in trouble for receiving money by false pretense. He is accused of conning 250, 000 shillings from Alamanzani Tagayala to help him process a driving permit in vain. Kyaliita allegedly received the money in October last year to process the driving permit but failed to deliver it.

Samson Lubega, South Eastern regional police spokesperson says that Tagayala told police that Kyaliita approached him and promised to get him a job as a driver. He reportedly asked Tayagala for shillings 250,000 to help him process a driving permit before he grants him the jobs but failed to deliver on his promise.

Lubega says that in addition to receiving money by false pretense, they have been investigating the LC III chair for forgery. He says that they received several complaints from residents in which, Kyaliita was mentioned for alleged forgery.

Lubega says they suspect that Kyaliita is the masterminding behind the printing of fake documents carried by some unqualified teachers. He says Kyaliita is going to help police with investigations into the numerous complaints.
