Uganda Cranes team this morning trained behind closed doors at Namboole Stadium ahead of their game against star-studded Senegal in a Group J 2014 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

Authorities refused the media to access the Stadium as coach Bobby Williamson was busy trying to conjure up his final line-up for the vital game that Uganda needs to win to improve their chances of qualifying for the next round of the qualifiers.

As the Cranes make final touches on the team, the West African outfit who recorded an upset over France in the 2002 World Cup, will be testing the Namboole Stadium tuff this evening.

The team that arrived on a chartered plane on Thursday night is led by star Demba Cisse, who plays his professional football for Newcastle in the English Premier League. The Senegalese lead the group after their 3-1 win over Liberia last weekend in Dakar.

Before they left Dakar, Senegal’s caretaker manager Joseph Koto reportedly told the media that they are going for a win, but he also has room for a draw.

In the Cranes camp, Coach Williamson has dropped Fabian Derrick Kizito, Caesar Okhuti, Joseph Ochaya, Isaac Isinde, Sula Matovu and goalkeepers Ali Kimera and Yasin Mugabi.

The players in the camp include goalkeepers Denis Onyango, Hamza Muwonge and Abel Dhaira.

The other players available for Coach Williamson include Simeon Masaba, Andy Mwesigwa, Denis Guma, Henry Kalungi, Edward Ssali, Joseph Owino, Johnson Bagoole, Godfrey Walusimbi, Moses Oloya, Tonny Mawejje and Martin Mutumba.

Also in the camp are Mike Sserumaga, Hassan Wasswa, Musa Mudde, Habib Kavuma, Steven Bengo, Dan Wagaluka, Patrick Ochan, Emmanuel Okwi, Geoffrey Massa, Brian Umony and Robert Ssentongo.
