Bus Accident Claims 3, Injures 17 others Critically

Three students of Kitagata secondary school were killed last night and 17 others injured critically following a fatal accident while returning from a geography tour in Kasese. Julius Tumusiime, Mid south regional police spokesman says that the bus lost control in a sharp bend and over several times. By the time of filing this story, the deceased had not been identified as police was still gathering details on the accident.

Bashil Siliba, Bushenyi District Police Commander attributes the accident to speeding. The injured students are admitted at Kitagata and Kampala International University Hospital in Ishaka. Julius Tumusiime, Mid south regional police spokesman says that most of the accident victims were in critical condition and fears the death toll could shoot up.
