Kabenge was summoned together with her personal assistant Hannington Musoke to appear today in room 73 following a case of forgery filed against them by Roger Hans Ddungu, the embattled former UOC president.

Penninah Kabenge, the secretary general of Uganda Olympic Committee-UOC has been summoned to appear before the CID at Kampala Central police station for questioning over forgery. Kabenge was summoned together with her personal assistant Hannington  Musoke to appear today in room 73 following a case of forgery filed against them by Roger Hans Ddungu, the embattled former UOC president.

Ddungu accuses the duo of forging his signature. According to the Police summons, the two are expected to answer questions and produce relevant documents, matter or things in connection with the investigation of forgery.
Kabenge told URN on Tuesday in her office that she is ready to cooperate with the police despite the fact that the same matter was handled and disposed off by the UOC executive. Musoke also said that he is ready to cooperate with the investigators but said that he will follow what his boss directs him to do.

Cue out: Without a lawyer,”//

Trouble between Kabenge and Ddungu started during the UOC Assembly in Gulu last year, when Gabriel Oloka the former UOC Executive member accused Kabenge of forging Ddungu’s signature to support her nomination for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Award.

Ddungu appointed a committee to investigate the matter, which cleared Kabenge of any wrongdoing. However, Ddungu rejected the committee report and appoint a tribunal led by Justice George Kanyeihamba to investigate the same matter without authorizations by his executive leading to his suspension. As a result, Ddungu decided to file a fresh complaint before the CID to investigate the matter.
