Uganda League Champions Express FC on Sunday managed to settle for a barren draw against Tanzania’s Simba FC in an International friendly match played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. According to reports from Tanzania, the Red Eagles dominated the first half before the hosts run rings around them on resumption but failed to find the back of the net.


The two teams also settled for a Zero all draw a week ago in Shinyanga town. Musa Mudde, the Cranes midfielder and former Sofapaka FC player in Kenya also featured for the Tanzanian champions Simba, ending speculation on where his next move would be.

The player who came on as a substitute in the Cranes 4-0 humbling of Congo Brazzaville in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier two weeks ago has reportedly has already signed with Simba FC. Meanwhile, two other Ugandan players have joined Kenyan League reigning champions Tusker FC. The team head coach Sammy Omolo told URN on phone from Nairobi that they had signed Allan Katerega from Victoria Sports Club and David Makumbi from Water FC.

The two players will have to impress in the remaining few days to be picked as part of the Tusker squad that will take part in the 2012 Cecafa Kagame Club Championships that take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania July 14-28. Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club will represent Uganda at the event which brings together champions in all member countries including Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Zanzibar, Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti and now South Sudan.
