Speaking about the preparedness of the 16 athletes from Uganda, Galabuzi said they can’t wait for the games to start. He says the athletes especially the track and field athletes are training so hard with their counterparts in Kenya and they can’t wait for the Games.
He said although they are not in a hurry to announce rewards to motivate the athletes to win medals, something will be announced before the team leaves for London.
The Ugandan team will obviously look to the proven and tested athletes like Moses Ndiema Kipsiro (5,000m, 10,000m), Benjamin Kiplagat (3,000m steeplechase), Annet Negesa (800m) and returning star Dorcus Inzikuru in the 3,000m steeplechase.
