Two unidentified builders were killed this evening at Afri properties along Lugogo by pass after they were hit by a boulder.
R.V Patel, the site engineer says that the duo was killed when the boulder rolled down after the crane that was being used to carry it broke down.
He declined to identify the victims saying that his company will issue a full statement on the incident. The other workers, who looked frightened also declined to reveal the identities of their colleagues saying that they had been instructed by the company not to speak to the media.
Julius Nabendeh, the Regional Police Commander Kiira Police Station, who rushed to the scene, declined to comment on the incident saying they were still carrying out investigations.
The deceased’s bodies were packed in bags and taken to Mulago hospital mortuary. Police has sealed off the building to prevent people from tampering with the scene of the accident.
