Security stepped up in Adjumani Ahead of Tuesday's Nominations

Election
Security has been stepped up in Adjumani, ahead of Tuesday's nomination for the Adjumani woman member of parliament.
The Adjumani Woman parliamentary Elections were postponed after one of the candidates, Clara Vuni, was killed in an accident involving the car of her main rival, Jessica Eriyo. The tragedy sparked off riots in Adjumani, with Vuni's supporters claiming that Eriyo's driver had deliberately killed their candidate.
The District Returning Officer, David Buti, says security has been tightened to curb a possible outbreak of violence by Vuni's supporters.
Buti says that five politicians have picked nomination forms. Among those who have picked the nomination forms include Vuni's sister Lillian Vuni. The others are Jessica Eriyo the incumbent woman MP, Josephine Mawadri, Hellen Baatiyo and Hellen Acan.
Elections for the Adjumani Woman Member of Parliament will be held on April 20th.
