Adjumani Voters Call for Peaceful Woman MP Elections

Election
Most voters in Adjumani district have asked the electoral commission to organize a peaceful election for the district Woman Member of Parliament.
The Adjumani woman MP elections were postponed after one of the candidates, Clara Vuni, died in a car accident involving the car of her rival Jessica Eriyo. The tragedy sparked off two days of riots with Vuni's supporters claiming that Eriyo's driver had deliberately killed their candidate.
The voters say they would not like to see a repeat of clashes between rival supporters.
