Police Deploys Heavily in Kampala Ahead of Easter Festivities

Police in Kampala have deployed heavily across the city ahead of the Easter festivities.

Regional Police Commander Kampala Extra, Grace Turyagumanawe says they have deployed policemen on foot and vehicle patrol to monitor security in the city.

Turyagumanawe urged the public not to leave their houses unattended to during the festivities.

He also called on them not to accumulate big sums of money that might attract criminals.

He told people who would be keeping their vehicles in parking yards to securely lock them because theft of cars is on the increase in the city.

Turyagumanawe urged people that will driving to celebrate Easter Up-country not to over speed. He also called on them to wear seat belts to minimize fatalities in case of accidents.
