FDC to Sue Masaka RDC over Illegal Arrests

The Masaka district Forum for Democratic Change, secretary general Joseph Senzoga has threatened to sue the Resident District Commissioner, for illegal arrests.
Senzoga accuses the RDC of ordering the arrest and illegal detention of Boda boda cyclists opposed to the National Resistance Movement party - NRM. He claims that several Boda boda cyclists are being detained by police for inciting violence.
Senzoga claims that he has gathered sufficient evidence which implicates the RDC of wrongdoing.

The Masaka Resident District Commissioner, Barnabas Bwambale, has admitted that some Boda boda cyclists were recently arrested by police. He however says they are being held legally, because they committed crimes.
